If moon jars are named for the pale, luminous white of a full moon, this one is named for what's underfoot instead. Rounded and full-bellied like its namesake, it's left bare at its base — raw, sand-colored stoneware — while a soft turquoise glaze pools down from the rim like sea foam on an ocean wave. Hand-thrown and one of a kind, with a small round opening suited to a single stem or sprig.
