On winter mornings at Skyline Ridge, the fog rolls in and the whole hillside softens into green and white. Cold mist on my cheek, like being hugged by Karl the fog, and the familiar scent of California bay laurel trees in the air. This moon vase is my memory of that: a runny glaze that drifts from sage green to a misty blue, the colors blending like fog settling over the hills.
Look closer and you'll find a rim that opens into eight little petals. Fill the vase with wildflowers and let them spill over the rim – or keep it on a shelf empty, a quiet reminder of a foggy morning on the ridge.
