In Norway, I hiked to the top of a fjord, where the snow and ice melt and the waterfalls begin. From my kayak far below, they looked like they were falling straight out of the sky. This vase is my memory of that: celadon glaze pooling from pale seafoam to deeper blue, like meltwater running down ice.
Hand-thrown in porcelain, with a fine crackle that catches the light. Set it on a windowsill with a mini bouquet of wildflowers, and let it bring a little of that cool, quiet calm into the room.
