A watercolor postcard of the view from Mount Tamalpais as the marine layer rolls into San Francisco, printed from an original painting by Grace Lihn of Ocurrió Studio. Sutro Tower and a hazy city skyline sit in the distance, and the view stretches all the way to Pacifica.

Some views ask you to slow down and just breathe. This is one of them, with the fog drifting in and the whole Bay Area quiet below. Send it to someone who needs a moment of stillness, or keep it on your wall as a reminder to take one.

Part of Ocurrió Studio's ongoing series exploring the California coast along the scenic Highway 1. Original artwork by Grace Lihn, Ocurrió Studio.

I believe we're not separate from nature. We are nature.

And that's worth remembering, worth painting, worth protecting.

I'm Grace Lihn, a watercolor artist and ceramicist who creates art inspired by the beautiful landscapes of California. In a busy, screen-filled world, I hope my work offers a small moment of stillness.
