A rocky headland curves into the blue waters off Cambria, its golden-green slopes catching the morning light before the coastline recedes into hazy pine-dark ridges beyond. Painted on the bluffs of Fiscalini Ranch Preserve — one of my favorite spots to post up with a coffee and paint — this piece captures a quiet, easy morning watching the tide move along the rocks below.
